- : LifeStress Study - longitudinal study on the multimodal assessment of everyday stress: The LifeStress study is large longitudinal EMA project conducted at the Leibniz-Institute for Resilience Research (LIR) Mainz in collaboration with the department of health psychology of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. The overarching aim of the LifeStress study was to examine a range of research questions on daily hassles, resilience, and cardiovascular parameters in daily life. Participants were recruited within two large longitudinal studies on resilience factors. It is an observational study with a longitudinal measurement burst design: Participants took part in up to four measurement bursts approximately every six months. Every measurement burst included questionnaire assessments, a 7-day EMA (ecological momentary assessment), alongside an EPA (ecological physioligical assessment) with a continuous ECG recording for HRV (hear rate variability)assessment. Data collection of LifeStress took place between 07/2018 and 11/2022. The sample size of the original complete dataset was N = 135.
