Risk and Protective Factors for Mental Health Among Higher Education Students

Single Page

This systematic review aims to synthesize longitudinal evidence on psychosocial risk and protective factors associated with mental health outcomes following stressor exposure among students in higher education. By identifying an evidence-based set of psychosocial risk and protective factors, the review seeks to inform targeted mental health strategies at individual, social, and organizational (university) levels. In addition, where data permit, differences across relevant student subgroups will be examined to provide a nuanced understanding that can guide tailored interventions and policy responses.
